Need Millet Ideas (and other grains)

Thread Starter
Lately I've found millet just too bland and boring. I used to eat it plain and loved it after the birth of my last baby, but not so much anymore. How can I make it more interesting? Some flavoring ideas? Veggies to add, like a pilaf maybe?
Also, what other grains (NO rice, makes me feel yucky) can I prepare as a side dish? I've tried teff once and that was a mistake (I don't think it's meant to be cooked in water, just made into bread..). I like grains that can be cooked until very soft (which is why teff was a mistake, it doesn't absorb water much).

Thanks.

Yum salad, I make this for taco night, just soaking the millet beforehand:

Breakfast porridge, minus the soy milk powder of course, and soaked:

http://www.culinate.com/recipes/coll...millet_cookies I haven't tried these yet but I thought they looked interesting, I was going to replace the brown and white sugar with rapadura.
