What does your child wear to sleep in??

Ds just turned 7. He has outgrown basically all of his winter clothes. I have bought just about everything, but I am unsure about the pajamas. It has turned cold : here in Southern Ohio and I really need to buy DS some warm Pajamas today. We turn the heat way down at night and I want to make sure that he stays nice and warm. I was looking at fleece pajamas at Kohl's. Even on sale for 60% off they were expensive. I was thinking about just buying soft sweatpants and sweatshirts, like the basic Hanes or Fruit of the Loom kind. It seems much less expensive and looks just as cozy. Just wondering what other kids are sleeping in to stay warm this winter.

My DD sleeps in her clothes, honestly. They are all comfy. And they aern't sprayed with toxic flame-retardant chemicals. I don't think she has anything that was designed to be "pajamas" at all.

My six year old sleeps in fleece . . . either footie sleepers or separates.

I'm sure sweatpants and sweatshirts would work as well, though we have found reasonable prices on the Carter's fleece stuff at our local Carters Outlet. We get good deals at the end of the season too, so if you want to plan ahead for next year, you can.

My 6 year old usually wears fleece pj pants and a t shirt. I get them off ebay or in the stores on sale.

DD and DS both wear pajamas. I found that changing to pjs really got the whole bedtime "mood" going in our house - a signal to the kids that bedtime was coming. Plus, personally, I don't like to sleep in regular clothes. Not as comfy as pjs.

Nothing. She wears a diaper (she's 3), but every time we put pajamas on her, she takes them off in the middle of the night. We're in MI, too, so it gets cold! She's just warm-blooded, I guess.

I'm also in the midwest. We keep the house around 55-60 and dd still wants to sleep in only underwear. I think her and Dh are part penguin!

All summer, DS slept in either shorts and t-shirts (as we got WAY more hand-me-downs than we need for summer clothes) or in large t-shirts that fit like nightshirts.

I recently purchased some cotton "leggings" at Dharma Trading Company to use as pajama bottoms with the t-shirts he already has- plus he has some hand-me-down long-sleeved T's that he can't wear to school (due to the dress code) so those make good PJ tops if it's too cold for a short sleeved T.

My dd sleeps in a T-shirt in the summer and regular cotton PJs in the winter. She has flannel sheets, a comforter, and an afghan on her bed and seems to be comfortable.

DD (9) sleeps in Hanna Anderson pajamas (we get them on clearance at the outlet--- I don't care about patterns). She also has a pair of pajamas that her Auntie made her--- flanel pants and cotton shirt.

Same as above for DS (7). Except that he is constantly crawling out of the covers. And he will wear the flanels pants ones day and night as long as we will let him.

My boys sleep in PJ's. My DD will go to bed in PJ's but often when I go in at midnight to shut off her light, I will find her asleep in a "princess" dress!

Ds sleeps in fleece pjs or cotton pjs. I get a lot of mine on Ebay.

Dd sleeps in whatever. Some days it's a night gown. Some days it's a t-shirt. Some days it's her tutu. Some days it's nothing. I have quit buying her pjs because it's a rare day when she wears pjs/nightgown.

DS sleeps in just his underwear in the summer. In the winter he wears sweats or longjohns.

On cold nights Maddie (5) sleeps in 2 layers: long underwear and footie fleece pajamas. We also buy on clearance at Carter's outlet (the fleece sleepers seem to go on sale for around $5 each around President's Day weekend). The house is pretty cold at night!

In the summer--big t-shirts or summer pjs from Carter's (also bought end-of-season)

We have some of the Carter's fleece PJs from Kohls. My boys also wear mama-made fleece PJs, T-shirts, track pants, and sometimes just boxer shorts to bed (even though we, also, set the heat at 55 at night).

My almost 6-year old will only wear Children's Place 2-piece fleece pajamas in the winter.

My 6 year old usually sleeps in pj's, usually just cotton ones. He also sometimes wears a pair of long john underwear with a pj top. 3-1/2 year old dd is the same.

My almost 6 yr old dd just recently started sleeping in a night gown or t shirt. She has slept naked her entire life. We'd put the pjs on and somehow she'd be naked by the time she was asleep. Now that it's getting cooler she's keeping something on, although the past winters (from the time she could get the night clothes off herself) she has been nude. She does sweat at night tho' and dh never gets cold. I always slept naked too until i wanted to cut down on the night nursing!LOL

My DS (nearly 6) sleeps in his undies usually as he gets really hot during the night. sometimes he sleeps in tee shirts and undies and, every once in a while, in sweat pants and a tee shirt. I stopped buying him pajamas long ago. He just never wanted to wear them.
