I could have saved more! forgeting coupons

I'm so frustrated because whenever I go shopping I forget to use certain coupons or I don't think about what to use until after. Yesterday, I went to CVS and saved $24. I thought this was pretty good. I got in the car and realized along with the $2 CVS coupon I could have used my huggies coupons I got in the mail. I did bring along my pampers coupons and used them but it made me so mad I didn't think about the huggies coupons. Then I bought some CVS papertowels and realized I could have bought the bounty (huge pak) for so much less if I had brought my coupons along. I have a two year old who really distracts me so its hard. In the car I kept saying "I could have saved so much more" and he kept repeating "more" , "more"! Anyone, else make such silly mistakes. Maybe as I get better I will do less of this.

Can you keep all your coupons in one of those coupon organizers, or a 3 ring binder with sheet protectors separated by category, and leave it on your launch pad? (Launch pad is the place where you keep everything you need to leave - purse, keys, shoes, coats, dry cleaning, etc)

I almost always know what coupon deals I am going to the store for, so I bring an envelope with my list on the outside and the coupons on the inside. I pull them as I find the items. It works pretty well for me.

I checked the flyer before I left home. Went thru my coupons that are now very nicely organized and put them in my purse but I still forgot some. I need a cure for mommy brain.

You would be amazed. . . I bought 2 packages of Quaker Oatmeal at Target. Then, I found a coupon for $1 off 2 packages. I went back to Target today. They gave me the $1 for the coupon.

Our grocery store, Jewel, will honor coupons up to 60 days AFTER you have purchased the item. I have taken coupons in with old receipts and got cash for the coupons.

Call me frugal.

My money is that you went back to CVS with the coupons you would have an even chance of getting hte money.
