What else can I make? Help me decide!

I've decided to make some stuff out of felt for DS's stocking, and I started today by making a little faceless/armless gnome. He's quite cute. Here's teh problem - I'd like to make a few more things, but I'm working out of the felt I have on hand, and I don't have much.

I have a little bit of green, half a sheet of red, one sheet of black and three and half sheets of white. What can I make? I don't have any more face colour to make another gnome... unless I make the face white....hmmm.

Any suggestions?

Do you have access to this book or others like it? You could make small animals - a white rabbit, sheep, horse or unicorn. There are patterns in there for some of these.
Hmm what else.

A snow fairy? all white with black hair and a red basket?
A small stuffed tree (use black for the trunk) with white for snowor green for the leaves.
A snow dragon (white with red and green accents)

some felt food treats - white cookies with embroidered icing sprinkles, a small strawberry or cherries, christmas candies

a small treasure pouch/bag strung on some yarn

hth
good luck!

Is the felt made out of wool? If so you can dye it with koolaid.

Ooh, lots of ideas. I should also add that this is my first time making stuff out of felt and I'm sticking to the basics. (Also, my felt is not made of wool... acrylic. This is a money saving venture. Plus, if I enjoy it, which I am so far, then I'll invest in some real felt.)

I made a little white mouse after dinner. (It looks like a cat toy, but that's okay) Then I found more felt, so I have some blue and more face colour. I think I'll make a blue gnome to go with the red one, and then maybe try a tree.

(These are great ideas and that book looks beautiful... but soooooo intimidating right now!)

DD is getting a play kitchen for Christmas and I just started making felt food.

It's SO easy. I'm using cheapy acrylic for now but since I like it so much I'm going to get some wool felt...I was also thinking of felting old wool sweaters from the thrift shop to use.

So far I've made breakfast I've made 2 fried eggs, bacon, and a pancake with syrup and a little pat of butter.

It's addicting! Have fun!
