Hello ladies, I have a question.....Update in post 22 - Page 2

I think it'd be hard for even someone who doesn't do a ton of ultrasounds to miss a twin at 10 weeks. It could happen, but I'd be more concerned about more "mundane" causes of measuring large, like polyhydramnios. Either way, I'd have another u/s because of the potential risks in either situation.

Update

Hi ladies! I just wanted to give you an update.

I had an appointment with my midwife today...I drank the glucose water and got a blood draw and we should know the results thursday or so.

She measured me (of course) and this time I was measuring 4 1/2 weeks ahead (last time it was 4 weeks ahead). Though, she started a little higher than she usually does so I think that I measure even farther! *shrug*

She listened to the heartbeat and said something about not being the right spot. Then she said that she wasn't getting the full heart, just one of the chambers and she was hearing both the chambers of the heart at the same time. I have never heard of anything like that...have any of you? I asked her what the beat number was and she said the 130's-150's range...

So....basically I still don't know anything. She had a bit of a hard time figuring out where baby(ies?) was (were?) but I am 100 pounds overweight with lots of tummy fluff so...

I asked her if she thought I may have twins, and she asked me what I thought. Then she said that she *thinks* that there is just one. But didn't sound 100% sure of that.

I have another appointment with her in 2 weeks so I guess we'll just see what happens then!

Thanks for listening (or, reading, I guess! ) ladies!

I just wanted to add that I got the results from my GD test and I do not have GD!!! I am very happy about that!

It does make me wonder though why I'm measuring so big...
