Fingerless Gloves Pattern?

I just learned to knit in the round on dpns and easily made a pair of mittens. My mom has been requesting fingerless gloves for years now...I just need a recommendation for a pattern! There are a ton on the net, but I want one that is tried and true.

The pattern for Fetching is the one that I'm planning to make for myself (but somehow never get to make anything for myself!) I haven't tried it, but have talked to others who did and it seemed to have gone well. You're right, though, there are a lot of fingerless gloves patterns out there!! Hope you find the perfect one!

I've made easily a dozen pairs of Fetching. I think I am sick of the pattern. But it's lovely and easy and rather intuitive. I always make mine longer than the pattern. Here are a couple others I've done.
