ugh... c/s 3 weeks ago- when to start exercising?

I know many of you just had your LOs, and many are still waiting, so it seems a little soon to ask this, but I had c/s 3 weeks ago and NONE of my old clothes fit yet. I want to start exercising (reluctantly) and get back to normal soon. What kind of things could I start doing now? It is freezing/snowing outside so outdoor walks are not an option! :

nak -- i think it's actually pretty early for your old clothes to fit! mine don't either and i'm 3 wks pp from a vaginal birth. i don't think my old clothes fit for months with my first two.

exercises this early should still be gentle i think. pelvic rocks, tilts, head lifts, things that strengthen the abdominals...

I'm interested in this, too. The only thing I've really been doing is walking. I'd go easy on abdominal exercises since those muscles were cut during surgery.

I'm jumping in from April ddc, but I've had 2 c/s and I have a few thoughts. 3 weeks is considered the minimum time for a good, healthy c/s recovery. All of the healing inside pretty much takes place in 12 weeks, but the first 3-4 are crucial. Short walks to your comfort should help, nursing should help too. You'll know if you're doing too much if your bleeding picks up. I would wait until about 10- 12weeks to really run or lift weights. Congrats on your little one!
