Is this something you do with spun yarn or just the raw fiber?

You do it with roving as an embellishment onto felted fabric.

Or you can do it to create a sculpture like an animal or doll.

OK, addicts, , any great web resources for learning to felt (different types of felting, different projects, etc)?

It is super super easy. I find it to be a little boring because it is so repetitive, but it's pretty quick going, so it all works out.
