I finished this one, today. I had been working on it for ages. I am thrilled with the way it came out.

HEHEEHEEHEE That is just soooo adorable! I have this giant grin on my face, it's so cute!
I read a tutorial on one of the Christmas gift idea threads and I am working on this little guy made from an old sweater and a t-shirt. I love that it only cost the yarn and thread!

Thank you so much mamas, you have inspired me! I wanted to get DS a doll for Christmas so I bought him a Cabbage Patch doll. I hate it and it creeps me out so I went looking for dolls that don't scare me. These ones are absolutely beautiful and I hope I can make a doll for Toby that's as cute as the ones you all have made!!

Then I might have to make myself one too

Ok, i have everything ready to go, and I just need to *start*! I ordered premade heads from Joys Waldorf dolls, so I should be able to do this.

As usual I went overboard- I got stuff to make a 10" doll for a friend's baby, 2 little bunting babies for DS and new baby, a 16" doll for DS (he already has a 12" one) and a 12" and 16" one for new baby. Now I just need to actually start!

I had to work SO hard to not go overboard during Joy's sale! I got just just a 16 inch honey doll kit (with the premade head, yeah!). I'm just waiting for it to be TG break so I can really have the time to get it all done. I hate having craft stuff out for a long time, our house is too small for that. Looking forward to being able to post pics here soon!

I swear her mouth doesn't look as terse as it does in this light/pic for some reason! I should also note I just made up my own way of doing the hair b/c I don't crotchet. It took some thinking (I'm sooo not visual-spatial) but it turned out all right!)


Matching Christmas dress (matches the one I started and my mom actually really sewed for DD )

I have supplies for sewing another dress, and really it only takes half a yard, so I could make a LOT of dresses, they only take maybe two hours. And I have some stuff for making a doll Beco, although I did just find nice webbing and buckles, and I'm thinking doing it right is better than doing it in time for xmas. If the stuff gets here fast I can do it. I was just going to make it with ties but buckles will let DD acutally get it on/off herself. And finally I have stuff for making the doll into a mermaid, a shiny teal tail I'll make with an elastic waist band and some teal and silver yarn for some kind of hair decoration, have to figure out how we'll make it so DD can attach it and take it off again... oh and of course I keep forgetting to buy material for making shoes, even though there was some great stuff in the remnants section that would have been perfect. Gotta stop by the store again.
