i am making a hair oil for my etsy store (and a gift for a friend) it contains herbs and oils, it is a pre-conditioning hair oil. the herbs may/will eventually color the hair, some sooner than later.
what i know is: how to label by percentage of ingredients i.e. kind of oil, kind of herb, kind of herb, kind of herb, essential oil.
make it in a clean and sanitary place
label it properly (please test for reactions, do not use if you are allergic to any ingredients)
what i need to know is, is it a hair conditioner nad thusly a cosmetic regulated by the fda (am i right about that?) is it a dye (because the herbs will color the hair),
does anyone know anything about fda regulations? i am struggling with something in the regs. i just cant figure it out. i cant tell if a product i make is a cosmetic and thusly covered by the fda or not.
anyone know of a blog or website (besides the fda website) that could help?
or if anyone has legal-ese brain and could help? ill give you big kisses and love!~
