Anyone have one? I can find adult and baby sizes but I need something easy in a child's size.

Thanks in advance!

What about this?

http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/...cheted+Hat.htm

I've never used a pattern for a simple beanie hat. I usually start crocheting in a circle making increases every round until it's wide enough and then keep going without increases until it's long enough. Does that make sense?

So the pattern might look like this.

Ch 3
Round 1; 6 sc in 3rd ch from hook
Round 2; 2 sc in each stich around
Round 3; [1 sc in first stich, 2 sc in next] repeat 6 times

And continue like this making 6 increases (2 sc in the same stich) at regular intervals each time until I have a circle the width of the child's head. Then just sc until it's long enough.

Or I might do the same thing with dc but I would start with 10 or 12 dc in the first ring and 10 or 12 increases in each row.

Would that work for you?

After seeing High School Musical 3, my interest in crochet has been sparked.....I am a knitter but those crochet beanies in the movie were TDF. Thanks for starting this thread.

Um, ya. I think I can handle that. It kind of the idea I had anyway but I lack crochet confidence since I am a beginner. Thanks !

I haven't seen the movie. I wonder if I can find pictures of the beanies.
