What toy does your 5/6 yo boy love?

My boy loved his wooden/magnetic train set the most at 3 and 4, and his outdoor jungle gym and playhouse. And toy cars. All toy cars.

What do boys really love to play with at 5 and 6? (my ds just turned 5 a few weeks ago, and we're wondering what to get for Christmas.)

Cars, cars, racecars, and a Hot Wheels racetrack we got him for his fifth. For outdoors his bike, and a mini soccer goal that we used all summer.
Thankfully he's now finally starting to enjoy certain board and family games - he likes Jenga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenga) and various Haba games (this site has a description and a good selection http://www.fatbraintoys.com/toys/brands/haba/games.cfm).

Legos, Playmobil, Leapster, anything that shoots cars fast across the floor

Legos, anything Star Wars (there's a fascination there even if they haven't seen a movie or anything), board games, books, robots, dinosaurs, etc. My 5 yo DS loves just about any toy. Oh yeah, tinker toys are a favorite here too.

Kid Galaxy Morphibian R/C car ("shark", "gator", "cobra"). They run about $25, can go through puddles (will actually float and drive across the top), have a flexible antenna (no poked out eyes or snapped antennas), easy controls, working headlights. You just don't want the controller to get wet but it works again after drying out.

Legos, plan city roads and cars, star wars, and art supplies are our top four. I have a 5yo and a 6yo.....pretty much everything else remains untouched. We do play board games together too.

Legos, Zoob, Knex, balsa wood with which they can invent and build their own stuff, paper & pencil for drawing inventions, parachute & rope to tie it around places.

Another vote for LEGO here. Ds (just turned 6) has really started getting into it lately. He also likes maze books. He got a nice remote control truck for his birthday that he enjoys.

mine is nearly 7 and he still plays A LOT with the unit blocks. probably has played more with these than anything else ever. im thinking of getting more for christmas- he has 2 sets already.

5 1/2 year old DS may get some of this for Christmas (not all!)

He loves building but may be the one kid here who isn't much into legos-
