Uterine infection, back to hospital, probiotics

I seriously can not stay away from our hospital. I have been there 5 times now for Mr. Anders. I went in Sunday for 3 nights after passing some clots and feeling feverish. They did an u/s for retained placenta and it was clear. My uterus was very sore. So, I was on IV antibiotics every 6 hours. As miserable as I was while being there(it is a teaching hospital), I think it was really good for me to be in bed. I feel really good now. I have never taken probiotics, but started last night. I am not super worried about thrush, but why take the chance right? I spoke with the IBCLC about taking them and she thought it was a good idea.

Anyone share their experience about probiotics?

I have not used them, but on bf forum there has been mention of placing some on nipple before nursing. Of course if it is just preventative, then watch and wait will probably do.
Sorry to hear about you hospital trip! Hope you stay home now!

You can also take GSE - it makes you body more acidic and kills yeast.

I had to take antibiotics for bronchitis a few weeks ago, and I was worried because I *always* get a yeast infection if I take antibiotics. I was super aggressive with the probiotics, taking them 4x a day even though it's supposed to be a 1x a day pill. I put lemon in my water to make my body more acidic. I don't know what worked, but (knock on wood) I've been off the abx for a while now and no yeast yet!

good luck, and I hope you're feeling better soon!
