how much weight have you gained? - Page 4

Almost 31 weeks and 27lbs gained so far.

I started out at 100lbs (I'm a tiny girl, 5'1"). Watching the numbers rise each week has been probably the greatest challenge of this pregnancy experience for me. It's my first. My mom gained 40 lbs with both her pregnancies. I've never fluctuated more than 3lbs either direction, so this daily interaction with the scale has been interesting. I feel great, pretty much all belly with a wee bit of extra padding in the butt/hips.

I have absolutely no idea. I don't have an eating disorder, but I tend to get obsessed with my weight if I keep track, so I don't keep a scale in the house. I had gotten horribly underweight a while ago (due to some major stress in my life) but I had started getting back to a normal weight before I got pregnant, but not sure exactly what that was. My midwife didn't weigh me at my early prenatals, so I only know what I weigh lately.

I did actually lose a half a pound from my second to last prenatal to my last one, which stressed me out a little, but I figure I just have to keep making sure I get enough protein and just eat the amount of food my body wants. I've tried to be better about having protein smoothies or goat milk or something if I haven't gotten my protein for the day.

Am 31w2d today and according to the midwife's scale, I've gained 38 pounds.

Hehe. Whoops. Well, I now weigh what I weighed when Guinevere was born. Only there's still two more months left (which include Christmas and my birthday, so guaranteed cake ). Oh well. Apparently I'm gaining what I need to.

I gained a pound in two weeks! I'm overweight by 50lbs, so I was trying to keep it down, but I'm up about 15 overall, at 32 weeks.

I admit I'm having a hard time not with body image, but numbers... I think I look pretty cute, but I'd finally gotten to 190 after several years of 250, and going over the 200 mark again is a real mental bummer.

Anyone else doing a candida free/controlled diet???

32 week check-up, I was up a total of 25 pounds.

At 33 weeks I have gained 32 lbs...

I am 32 weeks and have LOST 9 lbs over all.

I am about 20 lbs overweight to start with and I'd been on fertility drugs for several years. My midwife isn't worried although I ask every time since it seems weird to me.

That was me first pregnancy -- though I started that one at 109 (I had gained 10 pounds to help conceive since it took us so long to get pregnant), and gained 33 overall while pregnant. But this time I started out slightly underweight (104ish) -- but am already at the same weight I was when Guinevere was born (142) which is a little shocking. But necessary, I'm sure.

I don't weigh myself daily at all though. But what I enjoy more is measuring my belly. I'm nearly 5" bigger around this time than I was at this point last pregnancy, which cracks me up. I'm freaking HUGE compared to last time.

Either way, the weight thing is and isn't a big challenge for me. It is because it's a big part of me having to accept this non-petite body as still me (if that makes any sense at all), plus it's just uncomfortable to cart all this extra weight around. But it also isn't a big ordeal because I know that with every bit of weight I gain, my baby is likely to be healthier for it. At least that's my hope.

At this point I am 30 weeks and I have gained 17lbs. This is as much as I gained in total in my last pregnancy. I am gaining an average of 1lb a week at this point.

I've gained 32 pounds and I'm at week 34. At some point does weight gain normally slow down or taper off? I'm just hoping that breastfeeding and spring time weather that gets me outside more in a body that moves more easily will help me to lose weight.

Mine slowed down the last month or so last time. It hasn't slowed yet this time though. But breastfeeding totally took all the weight off very easily for me last time, and then some. I ended up having to add calories/fat because I got really underweight.

Breastfeeding did not help me lose weight last time at all! I was so hungry while feeding for the first few months though, a lot more hungry than I was when pregnant..lol. It was crazy.

31 pounds at 31 weeks. Not too thrilled about it. If I counted the weight I had gained during my previous pregnancy and loss (a month before this pregnancy) my weight gain is actually more like 45 pounds.

I'm hoping some of this extra weight is water retention. My sister also had it, and ended up not being able to fit into any of her shoes near the end. Right now my feet are quite swollen (a size bigger than usual) and my fingers are pudged out.

Still, I have a feeling I'll have a lot of work to do after this little one pops out to get back into my old clothes. Thank goodness for the calorie burning wonders of breast-feeding and baby-wearing.

I was wondering the same thing....

My midwife told me I'll likely keep gaining a lb a week up until the last couple weeks when it is not uncommon to lose a couple pounds. This is my first though so I have no idea what to expect. I think I've gained about 22 lbs now at 32.5 weeks.

around 40lbs. i LOST a little over 20 when i first got pregnant so.. im nback to what i normally am. my body seems to like being in the size 12-14 range, if i lose i gain it back fast to end up here, if i get bigger, i lose it fast and end up here.

I'm 32wks and 4 days or so and I've gained 12lbs. Although that was all in the first 24wks. I haven't gained any in the last 7-8wks. I've been sick and even with all the xmas baking haven't been able to put on any weight. My belly is growing though so baby is growing.
