books for the older kids

Thread Starter
Does anyone have recommendations of books for the older kids to get them ready for the new addition? My DS is 2.5. I'm thinking more along the lines of books about how life will change with a new baby in the family, rather than books about what birth is like and how it works.

Thanks!

We have "Sophie and the New Baby" and found it helpful in anticipating some of the issues that come up for older kids. Sophie has to wait a looooong time for the new baby, then when it comes it takes a lot of attention from her parents and isn't much fun. The book shows her expressing her anger and frustration and how her parents comfort her, and that after a while the baby becomes more fun.

Here's a link to it on amazon, there are also links from the page to other similar books... (even if I don't buy from amazon I like to go there and read reviews and comparisons!)

Moving to the books forum. You could also ask in The Childhood Years.

I really recommend Dr. Sears Baby on the Way.
