heart problems = 3 shots

Anyways, long story short, he had something called A-fib. His heart was out of rythem (sp) and they had to use a defibulator to literally "shock" it back into sinc. So here is my dh, having heart problems and they offered him a flu, pneumnia (sp), and a tetnus shot??? WOW! The man just got 100 jouls of electricity shot through his body to the point that it left BURNS on his skin and you want to shoot him up with 3 vaccines at the same time?? Yea, that will help him feel better

Well, that's the medical religion. You have to sell something while you have the chance.

If your dh uses anything "diet" or any other foods that contain Aspartame, well...that could be a part of the problem his is having. If not 'the' problem.

Just do a search of Aspartame and irregular heart beats and you come up with thousands of hits.

Aspartame is in 9000 food products. But it can be avoided. We manage it.

Best recouperation to your dh and tell him not to cave in to those 'gods in white'.

Thanks Gitti. We avoid Aspartame as much as possible in our house. I honestly don't even think we consume it. I'm a label reader and no matter how bad I want food, if it is in the ingrediants, back on the shelf it goes He does have coffee on occasion and uses Sweet & Low which I *cringe* at but not often enough to do any harm, maybe a few cups a month at most.

He definately declined, I just thought it was odd to offer vaccines to a person that suffered heart problems?? Not surprising but more like 'duh' moment

Especially since the flu shot can cause heart problems in and of itself.

That's almost as bad as when a NICU dr. asked me if i wanted to circ my son hours after finding out he was born with a congential heart defect that would need open heart surgery to correct!

I wanted to punch him in the face. He actually asked me again the next day as well.
