Easy ideas for felting craft?

I have one, maybe two cashmere sweaters that are moth-bitten but I was thinking that maybe I could make something by felting them. I've never felted before and have limited sewing skills, and no machine. I'm pretty limited craft skill speaking - I knit, but that's about all.

Any ideas?

Can you frog the sweater? if so I'd do these. I'm in the process of doing some with raw wool and they are turning out awesome.

what do you mean, "frog the sweater"?

Frogging is the term knitters use to describe "unknitting" or ripping out large sections of knitting. Some factory made sweaters are made similarly to knitting- with long pieces of yarn. Others are made using shortcuts that leave short pieces of yarn. If you are lucky enough to have a sweater that falls under the first category, you could frog it and use the yarn for knitting.

I've been doing these with my 3yo and it's been great! I posted more info on a previous post, something about holiday ornaments.
