Matthew Allen was born 11/21 at 2:53 am.
8lbs 4oz and 21 1/2 inches long. 40 weeks 5 days.
Contractions started at 3pm, but I was really unsure if it was real labor. By 830pm, I had NO DOUBT it was time. FIL came to our house to be here with DS#1 (14 months) and off the rest of us went to the Hosp. WE checked in at 1015pm. Contractions by then were 3 mins apart, and I was really moaning through them. My water still hadnt broke yet, so they broke it for me, and things REALLY picked up after that. I was still only dialted to 9, so the attending resident "got rid of the rim" for me. Whatever that means, but it HURT!!!!!!! I finally said I have to get him out!!!! So I started pushing with no one really near by but DH. Matthew was out in about 10 minuets! It was amazing, soooooooo painful. I think I freaked out everyone on the third floor with my screaming. I must be some kind of wimp, but my OB was an angel. We just had the most amazing day, just the four of us here at home. Complete with DH cooking every meal we ate, DS#1 having all sorts of hugs and kisses for DS#2. We are now a happy family of four!
