First period?

My baby is 14 weeks old, and I think I have my first period. Except it is not a normal period. Instead of being bright red, I have black/brown 'stringy' discharge, and black/brownish clots about the size of a quarter. Does anyone know if this is normal? I searched online and can't find any info on this.

I know I'm new here, but I really hope someone will answer. Was everybody's 1st period normal? I'm getting worried.

14 weeks postpartum could be your period. Personally I'd just use the wait and see approach (as in wait and see when it shows up next). If you're worried though, definitely contact your care provider.
