DH and I haven't even really started looking at names yet (which is funny since it's usually the first thing we do when we find out Life's gotten in the way though).
Our last name is Italian, which explains ds2's name at least. DS1, on the other hand, was all me since I didn't even know DH yet when I had him (well, other than online very vaguely). I just knew if it was a boy, he was going to be an Aristotle. I got so much grief on that name my whole pregnancy (it got voted off my list in every "round" but I kept it on. I did a "What name do you think I should use?" list with friends and family... Their top choice was Kieran, I believe, and ds1 is so far from a Kieran I could just gag thinking of trying to call him that. I think Kieran's a great name, it's just *not* ds1- and my friends and family agree, after meeting him. My mom was the worst- bashed the name *so hard* the whole time but, when he came out, she said "No other name would suit him." )
DH has some boys name he *really* likes, I can't remember what it is. I vetoed it last time and I still hate it but I couldn't tell you why exactly. It just makes the hair at the back of my neck stand up.

Add me to the boy list! I thought we may be having a girl this time, but I guess not. We just found out on Friday. DS in happy since he wanted a brother.

yay team green :

hehee

we managed to say "no" to finding out the gender at our 20 week u/s. it turns out i have to have another one around 28 weeks though :

i hope we'll be able to say no again. but it was hard the first time

When I originally voted in this poll, I voted green. After the twin scare, I had a u/s and now I need to take one from green and add it to the girl tab.

Is there a way to do that?

I had to see an OB yesterday 'cos of the pre-eclampsia. I was by myself but we decided we would like to know. The usual she said the baby's breech so it's hard to get a good look etc etc but she thinks it's a girl! We're not telling a soul but wanted to know as DD keeps saying 'if we get a brother we'll send him back & wait for a sister'. OB says she will look again when I'm back with her in a few weeks just to be sure.

I'm excited but a little upset on DHs behalf as his family name will disappear if we don't pass it on to a boy. He's really done after this one, I'm really not -so we'll see, but I know much as he will love another daughter he was /is hoping for a boy.

Somehow it surprises me that the boys are still outnumbering the girls here! It seems like everyone I know IRL whose due within a few months of me is having a girl.

It's just the opposite in my part of the country. EVERYONE is having boys

There are still so many on team green, I think it will be interesting once we start doing birth announcements to come back and see what the blue/pink split is really like!

I agree! I was just looking for this and also read through the birth preditions thread. I can't wait to see how we did w/ our guesses!
