It is a bigger deal for first time moms more than anything. My first was posterior and labor was HORRIBLY long with a three hour pushing phase, fourth degree tear and a 9lbs 2oz baby girl at the end though My second daughter was posterior the entire time was well, born that way and was 9lbs 8oz but pushing was easier and labor was a lot shorter. Sometimes babies can turn from posterior during labor, mine didn't get that memo though :
