My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
I had a little girl a month ago and cannot heal! I still have twinges when i sit down. I am too tender down there still. What is the normal healing process?
suggestions on healing would be great!
Epsoms salt sitz baths are really good for repair- the magnesium is absorbed in your body and helps so much with healing. I'd do them as often as possible, 3-4 times a day.
The twinges are most likely nerves reconnecting and are a very good sign. With my first, I had a huge, unnecessary episiotomy and felt sharp pains for over a year... so, not to make you wary, but it can take a long time.
Sitz baths really helped me! As hot as you can stand it, but don't scald yourself! That will help increase blood flow to the area and speed up healing.
I went about six weeks with sharp, painful twinges, and then finally when I could stand it no longer I went in to get examined and they found a stitch that had not dissolved but rather gotten caught somehow, and so was actually pulling on my tear every time I sat down or stood up. A simple snip removed it and I healed immediately after that.
