Hi! My name is Grethel and I am 30 years old. I am due with baby #3 on Aug 21st. I have a 5 yr old dd and 2 yr old ds.

This will be my second attempt at an HBAC and I will succeed this time! My ds was indeed a VBAC, but after a non emergency hospital transfer. My wonderful doula during that birth is in this ddc as well

I am looking forward to meeting all of you Mamas! And I have some special love for all the VBAC-ers here

I'm Lindsay, 26. Married for over six years to my husband Roger. We have two little girls, ages 2.5 and 4. Due with baby #3 August 21st (but I suspect I'll be pregnant until the end of the month with my track record, lol).

Would like a boy this time but we'd be happy with a girl as well. Hoping for a homebirth if we can manage to finance it. I breastfed both my girls, used cloth for a number of years (and will use it for the new baby as well), I don't vax, I babywear, we co sleep (BOTH my kids are still in our bed).

That's all I can think of. Nice to meet you ladies. Wishing you all happy healthy pregnancies.

Hi everyone! 9wks today! I'm Sarah, haven't been around the boards much but I know I'm going to need Mothering! My daughter Angie is 5, and my son Tom turned 3 in November. Hope to be around here more talking to you all when I can stand up, stay off the couch, and keep some actual FOOD down. I'm a cloth and boobies type of mama. Can't wait to homebirth this time, and bellydance this baby out.

Add me if you want!

Hi there!

I'm Christina, almost 34 years old, married for 11.5 years to my soulmate, now 12 weeks pregnant and due with baby #2 in early August. My daughter, Piper Amelie, has just turned 2 and keeps me busy, busy, busy. We live in Southern California, and love hanging out with our crunchy moms' group friends, hugging trees, and going to a Waldorf-inspired playschool. I'm a former actress and attorney, and am now trying to figure out what to be when I grow up (besides my favorite job of being a mommy, of course!).

We're SO excited for this munchkin...we'd both love the experience of having a little boy, but I'd also love for Piper to have a sister (DH and I are both only children, so we have no idea what we're in for!). I can't wait to breastfeed again (even though it was pretty tough going at the beginning). I'm pretty nervous, even though things are good so far, because I lost our first little bug at 12 weeks...trying to just be positive and optimistic. Mothering.com was my saving grace during my last pg, so I'm happy to be back here. I had a very easy and happy, non-interventive, doula-assisted hospital birth with Piper, which is what we're hoping for again this time.

Lovely to make your acquaintance!

Hi, my nn is Grumpy, I'm 36, due with our happy surprise bundle #4 August 6. Currently have an all girl family with a 7 yr old, a 5 yr with spina bifida who doesn't live with us, and a 3 yr old.

I'm a SAHW to my sweet dh of 10 yrs, homeschooling my oldest and just trying to keep my youngest busy (and man is she busy!)

I'm 12 weeks hoping to VBAC this baby - aiming for a VBA2C.... Have just failed my 1 hr GTT and will be refusing the 3 hr.

Don't care about the gender... girl or boy and won't be finding out until the little bean arrives bigger than a bean!

I haven't posted in almost a week, so I thought I'd say "Hello!" here in this thread.

I'll be 14 weeks when the weekend is over and just completely exhausted. I've been napping when my toddler naps which on most days is only once, unfortunately. If this keeps up I'll be more than ready to get back on a newborn's schedule.

Alrighty, see you ladies in the threads below.

Hi everybody!
Can I join too? I'm Christine, 34 yrs old. Pregnant with #3, I'm now 13wks4d. I already have a daughter (3,5) and a son (just turned 2).
So far I've had one ultrasound at 12 wks and all looked normal there. Baby is expected somewhere early August. My gut tells me this will be a girl, and I was right both times before so we'll see for sure around 20 wks when there's a second ultrasound.
Hope to join you ladies here in the threads!

Hi, I'm Jen. I'm 34 and 14 weeks pregnant with my second. I've been lurking around on Mothering forums since 2005, when I was pregnant with my first, but have never posted. I'm shy in groups- even virtual ones. But since I've found so much guidance from all of you wise women over the years, I decided I would finally jump in. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hello all, I have been lurking in this forum for a few weeks and finally decided to post!

My name is Jodee and I am 38. My due date is 8/25/09 so I am about 12 weeks. I have a 4 year old son who was born 8/04. Figured it was finally time to give him a sibling.

I have only had one doctor appt. at 10 wks, so this pregnancy is still becoming "real" to me. But I have been so tired and sick and so far this pregnancy is completely opposite than I was with my son. Some people are saying that means girl, but who knows?

Looking forward to conversing with you ladies over the next several months!

Intro & EDD of 08/16/09

Congrats to everyone here!

My name is Angela and I am a SAH mom to 8 children with #9 due August 16!: We are a home birthing, water birthing, home schooling, cloth diapering, baby wearing, no vaccinating, no circing, cosleeping, extended breastfeeding family. 20MO DS still adores nursing so this will probably be another set of tandem nursers.
Blessings,
Angela::::: ::

Hello everyone!
I figured I'd step out of the shadows and introduce myself. My name is Jackie and I am due with our first child on August 6th. I am really enjoying this forum, and am so pleased to meet everyone! I am excited about this pregnancy and trying to learn all that I can. I am married to the love of my life- and we are both so happy that this little one is on the way :

Look forward to talking with everyone!

Hi Jackie - congratulations on your pregnancy!

Hey Mamas~

I'm Carrie and prego with #4, who is a big giant surprise. My son Quinn (#3) is currently only 6 months old, so I conceived when he was only 11 weeks old. I had no idea I had ovulated, and had, in fact, just days before stopped post-partum bleeding. I'm a co-sleeping, nurse on demand mama~ and was not expecting my cycle to start again for several more months. Oh well... I guess 4 it is, and my man is going in to take care of his business to make sure it doesn't happen again!

I also have 2 girls who are 5 and 3, and I'm a SAHM and loving it.

I hope everyone has happy and healthy pregnancies

Hi, I'm Joanna, and I'm 34 years old, but will be 35 when my baby is born. I'm due August 25th or 26th, I'm getting conflicting info, but since the baby is measuring a little bigger, the actual due date probably doesn't matter.

I have an 18-month-old daughter who is getting to be more and more of a big girl every day! I just hope she likes being a big sister.

For the past couple of weeks I've been lurking in this DDC, and will finally hit second trimester this weekend!

I'm new here. I'm 26 and pregnant with our first. I am a children's yoga instructor and i live as naturally as possible. I have been married for 1.5 yrs. and we are planning a home water birth with a midwife. My guess date is August 17th. I plan on cloth diapering, breastfeeding, baby wearing, and co sleeping. I'm very happy to be here.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. Actually joined because of the Nourishing Traditions threads, then had the thought that I maybe should see about the pregnancy ones

I'm 22, newly married to my DH on Nov. 14, 2008, and pregnant 6 days less than we have been married. Hee hee! If this baby comes early, I'm gonna have some 'splainin' to do!

We're due Aug. 27. I want to find out, but DH doesn't. We'll see...

EDD: August 26th-27th

Hey Mamas!

I'm 30 and DH will be 27 on Wednesday!
I am a long time lurker. I registered here early with my second pregnancy and ended up miscarrying. I have had 3 miscarriages in all.
This one, I do believe has decided to stay.: I am 13w5d and going strong This will be my first.

We are really wanting to deliver via water birth at Austin Area Birthing Center. We plan to CD and BF and I am looking forward to being a SAHM.

DH and I think we're having a boy...I am told most mama's first instinct is correct. It certainly better be because we can't come up with a girl name for anything!
