Well, Cervadil didn't work either. It was in for 12 hours and did absolutely NOTHING!

We're trying Cytotec now (yes I know the problems with it and I hoped to avoid it but mw felt it might work well for me at this point). She also may try a foley balloon to manually dilate me.

They don't want to break my water yet for a couple of reasons - first, baby is still really high so they're afraid of a cord prolapse, and second, I'm GBS + with a history of a baby with GBS sepsis, so once my water breaks I'll be on the clock for sure. The one thing I'm relieved about is that for now, no one seems overly concerned and no one is rushing me or anything - they keep saying as long as baby looks good and I'm OK and water isn't broken, we can take our time and try different things.

Teff, the nipple stim idea doesn't work for me because I've been nursing 1 or 2 kids for more than 6 years straight so I think my nips are totally desensitized! I did try letting my DS nurse a LOT the night before I came in here though, just in case! But your other suggestion, believe me I have been asking Mary for help all night!!!

here's hoping for a great thanksgiving for you all with a babe in your arms. stick in there. we've had a similar year and a half ourselves, one thing after another. i feel your frustration. i try to take a deep breath and repeat to myself "this too shall pass" over and over until i feel the release.

someone at work told me about a mother theresa quote, "i know God doesn't give more than i can bear. i just wish sometimes He didn't trust me so much." that one helps too.
