I have been in business for the past 10 years or so and have a lot of things set up- bank account, credit card machine, resale number, and the like. I am about to start a new business that is you could say totally unrelated to the first one.

Do I need to use two separate bank accounts?

Do I need a different resale number (in California) for my second business?

I will make phone calls soon to find the answers, but I thought I would post here to see if anyone knows!

I am currently incorporated with my present business, but I am planning to dissolve that corp and just go back to being a sole prop. So both businesses would be sole proprietorships. No employees as of now, either.
