Vaccine side effects are imaginary *rant*

Somebody just told me that side effects are imaginary and not real. Just a little fever that's it... Gosh some people must be paid by big pharma or are just so terribly brainwashed. Why are so many pro-vaxers so hostile? I never treat people who are pro-vax in such a manner!
I'm starting to be afraid to voice my opinion...

I did have some pretty noticeable side effects - MMR in 2005 made me sick for days with 105 fever and measles symptoms. HepB gave me a fever as well...

Sorry... I had to post this somewhere where I know I can find some support, sigh.

Oh yeah, fever and flu-like symptoms hours after flu shot, general sickness for days, neurological symptoms for months and a dx of MS are imaginary. It's all in my head...

My grandson had the measles 10 days after the measles vaccine. We did not imagine it. otoh, that would not be considered an adverse reaction.

oh yeah, and my grandmother just decided to stop walking less than a week after her flu shot. The side effects must have been in the doctors head too, since they told us that it was the cause of her paralysis.

this isn't a vaccination problem, its a stupidity problem. Lots of people want to believe bad things won't happen to them and cling to almost any belief or shred of common thinking in order to bubble wrap themselves mentally. Its totally different than acknowledging risk and then trying to navigate from there. Let them be, as long as they aren't sticking our kids with something, its whatever gets you through the day, ya know.

Because you are questioning a dogma they hold to be true and have always accepted without any sort of critical thought or analysis. You're a heretic questioning the Church of Medicine.

You have facts and reason on your side; they have faith and the assurances of their "priests". Of course they get defensive and hostile...

My newborns high pitched non-consoluable (sp?) non-stop crying was just a my imagination (I was told it was normal btw). When her entire upper thigh swelled and was hot to the touch for over week that was also just my imagination (again I was told it was normal). Those are just the reactions I was aware of. And here I sit feeling so lucky she is still with me and doesn't appear to have any severe long term affects from all the vaccinations she received especially those after the bad reaction she had to her first. If I could go back in time .......
I think it's just lovely some people think they get to decide whose experiences are real or not. :

Whenever I read adverse reaction stories from NVIC its amazing how 95+% of the time there is a line describing how the doctor(s) deny the reaction had anything to do with the vaccine. I'll read dozens of them and its the same thing over and over. The denial is astounding. I mean, how can anyone, unless they are brainwashed, believe seizures randomly happen after vaccines and are not associated AT ALL? Even if this happens ten minutes later after the injection it is still firmly stated it was a coincidence. Its insane.

My hair falling out causing me to be nearly bald at the age of 17 after a tetanus vax - that was just my imagination. All the hair in the drain must have come from big foot showering in my shower.

If these things happened and there was no vax would you think it was normal? No, noone thinks all these things just HAPPEN for no reason. Things happen for a reason why is it so hard to believe a vax can cause a side effect. Goodness antibiotics cause side effects, but vaxes don't?

Thanks for your answers. Vaxes is the biggest issue for me right now as I am deciding to do them or not... And I'm reading tons of stuff...

I think you are right that it is like a religious dogma. If you question it, you are damned by so many people... That explanation makes most sense to me
