I have upped my vitex dose (from 250mg to 2 x 800mg) yesterday. I have had a pounding heachache and mild queasiness all day today...could it be the vitex dose is too big?
(I know I'm not PG...I don't ovulate and took a HPT last week, it was neg)

That is quite a big jump! I would go down to just 1 800 mg pill. I think you need to ease into it more. Just my opinion

Yes headaches are a side effect of consuming low quality product which contains other parts of the plant. Are you using a high quality vitex tincture?

I went down to one 800mg capsule in the morning and haven`t had a headache.

How do you know you have a high quality tincture? I use capsules because it seemed like an easier way to take it and control the dose.

I get really sick to my stomach for the first week when I up a dose, but after that it goes away.

I would just make sure you get a name brand vitex tincture or pill. I also agree that was an awfully big jump in dose, and would attribute the headaches and side effects to that. I don't really know if you need more than 800mg anyway. I really never hear of anyone taking as much as 2000mg of vitex. I would stick with the 800 mg and give it a few months to see if it seems to help.
