For a little back ground... I have only DS who is 3. he is not around any babies on a regular basis. But I'm a doula, so he hears about babies.
Today at the mall, we walked past a mother scrambling to make a bottle for her *crying* maybe 3 week old infant. DS stopped to look. I tried giving him the "lets go" nudge, but he wasn't having it.
"What are you putting in that baby's mouth?" DS asks the new mom.
"A bottle, so he can eat." says new mom.
Laughing, DS says, "Babies don't eat that. Babies only like boobie."
"some babies drink bottles," (she's being patient with him, and I wanted to see how it played out.)
"It looks yucky" says DS. And then we left in a hurry...
I'm so proud that he picked this much info up from hearing casual conversation around the house!
