patchwork dresses?

Anyone know where I can find a pattern to make a patchwork dress? I am thinking of doing an empire waist with spaghetti straps and maybe a top too. Another question--would I be better off taking a quilting class than just starting out with no idea what I'm doing? I learned how to sew/follow a pattern in high school--but that was almost ten years ago! Any tips would be appreciated TIA

It's easier then it sounds Just grab a pattern you like and it should tell you the size of cloth you need. You then can just patch work the right size of cloth. As big or as little of squares you want or both.

I make all kinds of patch work, just by snagging regular patterns and making them my own piece of art!
