No, absolutely not. There are so many reasons, but two came to mind before the rest:

I felt like I was in labor, I would have been in transition before I got to the hospital, easily. If I had gotten in the car when you're "supposed to", my son wouldn't have been born at home or
the hospital. Until you build a hospital onto the back of my house, "homebirth in a hospital" is an oxymoron of huge proportions for me!
