Been reading the children's books by bell hooks.

Title escapes me, I think it is "Homemade love" ... others help me out here.
Quick question: I wonder why she shows the little girl sleeping alone in her own room, complete with the text "sleep alone time" like this is a big deal. Considering that she is a towering intellectual, everything she writes must reflect her ideology. Is that really where she believes children must sleep?

Okay, not entirely on topic, but I totally didn't know Bell Hooks wrote children's books - in general, have you liked them? I like th work she wrote for adults...

yeah, we checked all of them out of the library. Worth a read ... I esp like the art but I am not sure how it would go down with 2-3 y.o. which seems the target age group, in view of the very simple text (at least the ones we read so far). would be interested in what others think.
