I received the below email asking to pass it along to anyone that might be interested in these Archives? Dana is the Lactation anthropologist who coined the phrase "Doula" if you are not familiar with her work.

Hi everyone,
Dana Raphael is clearing out some things in her office, and
has 3 boxes of breastfeeding research articles from various
journals, which appear to span the time period of 5/5/75 to 2/12/82 .
She says interestingly, after this time, BF fell out of
factor in the medical community and so these represent an interesting
time in history.
Does anyone have any suggestions for Dana, and her assistant Jan, as to
where these articles might be best utilized? I suggested
the Smith College women's studies archive, but I don't know.
I believe this is so important, I remember when I was researching the origin
of the doula role, when I finally contacted one of the early trainers and
organizational founders, I was heartbroken when she told me only 4 months
earlier she had tossed out all the records from the organization she started.
Especially in birth, breastfeeding, etc., there are many grassroots
advocates who may have treasure troves of data for us
researchers.... Where is a good place to recommend these archives be held?
If you have any ideas, send directly to Jan and Dana Raphael, contact info
below:
Best regards,
Jan Kraft, as assistant to
