Preg. Tests?

Hello. I am curious as to when any of you have gotten a positive pregnancy test? Like how many days before your period and such? I wondering this because I am 12 days PO and I should be getting my period in roughly 4 days, my beasts definitly feel achy and different and my womb area feels achy too. I am use to my womb and vagina feeling achy before my period but not my breasts feeling the way they do now. 2 days ago I actually had the feeling that I am for sure pregnant but I took a test today and it came up negative
So, when do any of you get a positive preg. test?

I didn't get a positive unitl 17 dpo and for me that was 3 days after my missed period. And even then it was a faint positive. I took a pregnancy test 11 dpo and 15 dpo (1 day after missed period) and both were NEGATIVE. So hang in there. Hopefully just a couple more days and you will get a BFP.

I got a pos. on 11dpo, but I didn't know that because I actually had my ovulation date wrong (I'm glad we dtd more than once!) I got 2 negative tests before that. I had thought I was on 13dpo which is why I was upset, but decided to test again and when I looked back through my chart I realized what had happened.

I asked the same question yesterday somewhere on here!

Being the freak that I am, I tested just 6dpo, got a negative, and then tested again today at 8dpo and still negative... I'll test again on Sunday at 10dpo and hope I get my positive then.... but if I don't, then I know all is not lost.

Why do we do this to ourselves?!?! :

i tested about 15 dpo i think........ a lot of the test on the market say you can test up to five days before a missed period but i've never tested so soon

I've never gotten a postive before 14 dpo and it took 17dpo to get postive with my 2nd so there is still hope! Good luck:

I took a digi around 11dpo, it was positive. I took a cheapie at 10dpo, it was negative. So I guess it depends on the test.

With this pregnancy I got a (faint) BFP at 9 dpo with both FRER and a Target brand HPT.

I got mine at 7dpo.A strong positive on a walgreens brand.:
My LP is always at least 14 days.

I got a BFP at 8 dpo with Clearblue Easy Digital and First Response...with my DD I got a BFP at 10 dpo with Answer.

I don't know... my period is/was due yesterday/today/tomorrow... and I just tested with a dollar store test and have a VERY faint positive line!! Which... I'm not sure even counts?? I think I'm going to have to go buy another test or two and see what they say... But, yeah... I don't know if I'm more excited or scared! I know most of my family (esp my DH and my dad) will not be pleased... but yeah

Positive just this morning with a Clearblue Easy Digital.. !

I've only had I think three cycles since AF came back, so I'm still not sure when I ovulate. On my normal 36 day cycle, I was due for a period last week, but I've had some early pg signs so decided to test this morning with the second stick from the box that told me I was pg with DD. Just because I'm mildly superstitious, I like to try and pretend I've forgotten about AF and wait until she's two weeks overdue so there's no false positives or wasted tests. But I couldn't hold it this time, figured a negative would rid me of an apparent hysterical pregnancy.

Hi I am a first time mommy so this lingo is new to me. I am assuming that dpo stands for days post ovulation and if I am right, I tested positive 20 days past ovulation which was 5 days late for my period. I took a clear blue easy test that is supposed to detect hormones 5 days before the start of my period but I probably did not need to get it since I took the test after my period was supposed to begin. Which test did you take? Maybe you can get an early detection one to be more accurate and if you can't wait a few more days...good luck

About couple days ago I went in search of one of those 5 days early tests and took it and it came back negative and that was yesterday which was 1 day before my period.
So here I am on period day and nothing. I *feel* pregnant so much in fact that I seriously think that I am so I am just going to wait a couple of days before I take another one.
Has anyone else gotten negatives when you where in fact pregnant???

I got two definete negatives: One 1-3 days before my period (I have a 26-28 day cycle, lately), and the other 3-5 days before my period. The two today both had pretty darn faint lines. From what I understand its definetly possible to be pregnant and get a negative test, especially early on - they are not perfect. Though, its WAY more likely to get a negative and BE preggo than get a positive and NOT be!!

With my first pregnancy I got two negatives one on the day after my missed period and one the next day as well. Oh and those were the supposedly 5 days early tests. Since I thought I must not be pregnant I waited another week and a half before I tested again and it was positive! And this time I got a negative the day after my missed period and then a very faint positive two days later. Don't give up hope yet! Be sure to keep us updated. Good Luck

Thank you, I haven't given up hope because today is the day after my missed period and my bigger, sore boobs are telling me that I am definatley pregnant. I just *know* that I am. This is my second pregnancy and it is already so markedly different. This is going to be such a trip!

I took my first pregnancy test 11 days after the end of my period and got a negative.

The next test I took was 14 days after that (25 days out) and got a positive. I was convinced I missed ovulation and wasn't pregnant and just wanted to test so I had something else to go off since I have irregular cycles and only just recently started charting.
