So I'm making a few t shirts for ds, myself and some friends & their babes. I'm wondering if I can get some suggestions or ideas for what exactly to put on them. I would like factual information and witty slogans also. Hope you guys can help.
Thanks!

Personally I like to promote that breastfeeding helps prevent breast cancer. For whatever reason, this message is not getting out and I think people need to know!

NO KIDDING!!!!! I learned that over 12 years ago and people are still disbelieving! I don't get it

I've seen shirts for little boys that say, "I'm a boob man."

I have a shirt that says: Nourish your baby - mind, body, soul - breastfeed!

I love that slogan. Shows there's more to breastfeeding than just milk.

I know I have more but my brain is on hiatus - I'm :.

I've always been a fan of these:

For mom: I make milk, what's your superpower?

For babe: Breastfed baby, stick around for the show.

Don't want to make women feel guilty for having not breastfed, especially years after the fact, naturally. The human body is an amazing thing : and we still don't know so much about it...

I like:

Human milk for human babies

and

Breastfeeding does a baby good

Just some ideas that occurred to me over dinner:

"The milk of human kindness" Shakespeare

We bestfeed/I'm a bestfed baby
We blestfeed/I'm a blestfed baby

Not stressed-fed, breast-fed.

For the Bible belt: Isaiah 49:15

("Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!")

For a mother/baby pair where the mother is a doctor, the baby's shirt could read: "She doctor, I nurse" and the mother's could read "I doctor, s/he nurse."

Not a latch-key kid, a latch-me kid. (Hmm)

At the Central Louisiana Breastfeeding Coalition we use

"Because babies were born to be breastfed"

and

"You gave the gift of life, now give the gift of health."

I keep pushing for

"Use the tatas" but it's not going over too well.

Thanks!
I esspecially like the breast cancer ideas... I was just telling my mom and younger sister about this the other night and they were shocked.

I think for the first one I'm going to use the "human milk is for human babies" one. That's so perfect and simple.

I'd love to hear more though.
Thanks again!

wasn't trying to make anyone feel bad. Sorry if the implication was there.

What about changing it to "She mama, I nurse" and "I mama, s/he nurse"?

mama shirt: "supply"
baby shirt: "demand"

Have a look at the link in my sig - we've got lots of them there and you are welcome to use them for personal use. My two favourites are:

'Do I look like a weaner to you? Smart toddlers breastfeed' and DD's

"Retired Nursling, Future Lactivist"

We also have the Supply/Demand - there is a lot more explaining than one would expect with that.

I have a car magnet that says "Breastfeeding - Nature's Health Plan".

I have a bumper sticker that says "Got Breastmilk?" My dd has a bib that says "Boobies make me smile" with the smilie face under it.

Er, this might not be what you're looking for, but a friend who's a very respected journalist made DS an iron-on onesie that said, "Show me your tits."
I thought it was hilarious, actually.
I also downloaded this old album cover from Australia for the single, Let's Have a Tiddley at the Milk Bar and put that on a oneise. (they call soda fountains milk bars in Australia.)
