THREE references to breastfeeding in the movie "Four Christmases"

I just saw Four Christmases with Vince vaughn and Reese Witherspoon and there were three rather funny references to bfing:

Vince Vaughn's SIL, pregnant and with a 9-month old DD says something like "Yea I'm lucky if I can get her to stop sucking on my boob long enough to take a shower" And then a conversation ensues about if breastfeeding hurts, and the girl says "no...well maybe a little at first, but then they are like rubber- wanna flick it?" LOL

In another scene, Reese's sister is breastfeeding her son (covered up, but still!) and then she puts her boob away, and Reese secretly tries out her Medela pump in the laundry room.

In ANOTHER scene, Vince's mother says how she had him on the tit until he was 5, and thought he'd be in college before he stopped!

It was great! And hilarious.

I saw a biography on Reese and they talked about how she was a type A personality. They gave the example of how she would nurse her kids all night and then work all day. She is a positive role model for moms who work and make breastfeeding a priority.

I saw the movie, and I liked how it made breastfeeding seem like the obvious thing to do. I also like how it made tandem breastfeeding seem normal.

I do this. I'm a professional and I work all day. My 9mo nurses almost every hour all night long. I pump several times during the day. So far, so good. He's only just started solids.

It is very hard. Kudos to Reese for putting so much effort in for her babies.

I saw the movie and thought it was great as well! Except for at the end when Reese has her baby and the nurse brings in a tray with a full bottle on it. Guess you can't win them all! But I thought it was great that it talked about nursing while pregnant!

I didn't notice the bottle at the end of the movie--I did notice that he mentioned a vacuum when talking about the birth...DH had to lean over and tell me to calm down! I also thought that breastfeeding was ridiculed a tad, but it was great that it was portrayed as the obvious thing to do with a movie.

I enjoyed the movie and would even see it again.

Plus isn't John Leguizamo in it? Who has made public pro-intact comments
