new hib recall??

DS had his well baby check last week (yes, we still go) and as we were walking out, I heard one of the nurses gasp, "they recalled the hib vax" (more gasps in the doctors' office). I didn't say anything as we were literally with our feet out the door, and they had just had me sign a refusal to vaccinate form. I only shook my head and thought to myself, why do they continue to look at us cross-eyed when we say we're not vaxing??

Anyway... I know Merck recalled their Hib vax last December, but does anyone know of a recent Hib recall??

I don't think there have been any new recalls, just that production is still behind at Merck.

I didn't think so, but thanks for confirming, and thanks for the link. (wonder what our pedi's office was talking about then??? I should have asked...)
