WHY is this taking so long?! (need encouragement, please!) - Page 2

Hey there,

I can totally relate and sympathize! I, too, have had prodromal labor for weeks now. It sucks.

Monday morning I awoke...with regular contrx. 8 min. apart...then 6 minutes apart, then 5...all lasting around 45 seconds.

I called my doula Monday night. Everything is regular, now 4 min. apart, not super intense though, so we wait. I have another night of sucky, contrax. ridden sleep. Tuesday morning, I puke, am in pain, can't talk through the contrax. This is it, right?

Wrong.

Everything peters out last night at around 6pm. Things got less intense as the day went by, until the contractions just stopped.

Take doula home. Cry. You know.

So, yeah, I can relate. And you all have my sympathy to the utmost.

Ugh, that's even worse than mine - I've never gotten down past 8 minutes apart yet. If I got to 4-5 minutes apart and THEN they stopped I would really, really freak. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Yep. At one-week mark now. Dehydration seems to be causing most of the really painful ones, which figures since I've been completely Zofran-dependent for most of the pg.

I've had them down to 2 mins. apart, then stopping. Totally sucks.

Woke up in the middle of the night last night with a splitting headache. Scared the crap out of me. Woke DH and we all loaded up for a trip to the 24-hr. Wal-Mart to check my BP. It was high (139/84) but not TOO high...started to come down when I checked it a second time. Bought a BP monitor so we don't have to make any more late-night excursions.

I. am. so. done. with. this.
