When Zachary Beaver Came to Town - A young adult novel that read in my mind just like a movie, sweet and off-beat (about a freak-show fat kid that get abandoned in a small town).

This is already a movie.

The Dark Tower series from Stephen King (they already made a comic book set from the first book and the second book - Marvel did it).

I would love to see the DT series as a movie, even a television show. That'd be an awesome series!

This is why it hasn't been done. Anne McCaffrey has met with several producers but won't let anyone, erm, "cheese out" the storyline so it never get's very far.

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. I heard a few years ago that they were going to make a movie of it, but nothing's ever come from it. It would make an amazing movie. I'd love to see the Tales of Alvin Maker series made into a movie, too, but it would probably be a bit too weird and spiritual to get much interest.

The Sky O'Malley series by Bertrice Small. Any of her books really. Nobody wants to make historical romance novels into movies, but her books are just amazing.
