If you dont have a kiln, what do you use instead? are there smaller versions of the big kilns you normally see in studios?

When I used to do pottery still, there were a couple local studios that you could take your stuff to and they would fire it for you, for a fee of course. The fee was nominal... it was still cost effective to make instead of buy.
