I need your ideas for a gift!!!

My dad is a really good woodworker, he makes the most beautiful Native American flutes and amazing furniture too. I really don't know what he has/needs and what he doesn't. He lives very far away and we met for the first time a few years ago, L.O.N.G. story but, that's the short of it.

What in the world should I make him for Christmas? TIA!!

I would probably do a mostly food basket with some knitted/crocheted washclothes or cloth napkins or something. But everyone likes food and it doesn't take up space.

The first thing that came to my mind was a woodworking tool wrap, kind of like this one. Even if he already has one, it would be special because you made it for him!

That's a GREAT idea!!! Now all I need is some fabric that isn't girly

Glad I could help! Do you have any of your DH's old pants or jeans that you could recycle for fabric?

ETA: I just realized that I made a huge, sweeping assumption that you have a DH - I just know that's the source of lots of my non-girly fabric. Eep!

No problem, the assumption was right. He does have a ton of jeans he never wears, he won't miss a pair or two
