Me too...I mc'd in October and things have been off. I'm taking Vitex tea though and it's a miracle worker for putting your cycles back on track. It also is great for fertility.

I don't take my temperatures. I just use an Ovulens and LH strips. The temperature thing for me is too much added stress, but that's just me.

Happy December everyone. I really hope this is a better month for everyone. Tomorrow I go in for my baseline u/s and the process starts all over again.

Yeah, I don't do the temperatures, either. It's too much stress, I never get to bed or get up at the same time, and it doesn't do anything to predict O, only to confirm it.

If you wanted to, you could take them home - you might find it easier/more relaxing/more intimate/a better excuse for snuggling. I'm about the same amount of time from my donor, maybe 1/2 hour in good traffic, but easily 45 in bad. I just bring the goods home, keeping them at body temp or close to it the whole way. I have insemmed at his place before, but only when I'm on my way to somewhere else. You could split the driving that way - get your partner to pick it up once, go by yourself once. . . or get the donor to drop a donation off at your house.

i third the no temping thing! i did for our first try, went triphasic and then bfn. it stressed me out so much and dp said ok no more of this!! needless to say, we haven't temped at all tracking her cycles, just used the cbem.

Sorry Papa!

We're still trucking along. Today is 10 DPO and we got a BFN this am. I know it's super early, though. She's having some strange symptoms she hasn't had before -- what she describes as pelvic "heaviness" and a "pulling" feeling (as well as the usual crampiness). Also she continues to have serious breast soreness that she doesn't usually have before AF shows up. I don't know if these may be related to the Estrace because she has never taken that before. Any insight?

I think we're testing again on Friday. That will be 12 DPO. Although we'll probably cave and just do it every day until our clinic appt.

I like temping because I like the extra assurance that I am indeed ovulating. I also find it kinda fun and interesting to be able to see the charts. It's so second nature to me now it doesn't stress me out at all...I've been doing it for a year.

Often drugs like that are used in the pre-O time to help stimulate follicles to grow. The drug would be out of her system by the time she got pregnant. Many "fertility drugs" are actually primarily used for other things (often in cancer treatment).

Sorry, Blackberry Pearl. It's always in my pocket (seeing as how I pretty much live in jeans) so I nearly always hear it. They're nice since they're sort of like a PDA but smaller.

She's on the estrace because her lining was a little thin. Apparently this is a side effect of Clomid. She'll be on it until our appt on Monday.

Sorry about the negative. It's only 11DPO though? Still very possible that it's too early!

afm: I think I can safely be moved over to waiting to know as my temp spiked this morning. I'm not confident on how many dpo I am though. FF has me as 3dpo but I think it could also be 1dpo. If we are 3dpo, our timing is very iffy as we may have missed O. Would anyone mind having a look at my chart in my signature and giving me their opinion on when O likely occurred??

Carmen - I'm not an expert, but what if Tuesday's temperature was a fluke? If you drop that temp, would it make a difference?

CD 2 here - and I'm miserable. My uterus feels like it's going through one of those old wringer-washing machines. Bah!

Will you still be able to have access to your donor this cycle, what with all of the holiday craziness? I hope so!

Also, I've been meaning to tell you that the UMASS grad. student health insurance (I'm assuming you have the same coverage we have) completely covered our IUI and the ultrasounds leading up to it, as well as the visits to the RE in Springfield. BIG surprise. Hopefully it won't ever get to that stage for you, but I've been meaning to let you know anyway.

Yes, Tuesday could have been a fluke. If I discard it, then FF doesn't give me an O date yet (it would likely put me a 1dpo today in a couple days time).

Yay for a 1dpo vote - I'm going with that to keep my hope up that our timing was impeccable and we will be seeing a BFP in 12 days. And if it's a BFN I can blame it on bad timing

LH Strip Question

Okay, I'm still really confused about the timing for all of this.

So, am I supposed to be doing insemination before, during, or after the 2 pink lines show up (aka the LH surge)? i did insem twice, once Sunday, then Tuesday, and last night I took a test and there were still 2 lines, but the LH one was fading. Today there's just one line. We were going to do a third insemination today, but should we not...is it too late?
