Super simple tried and true one yarn basic stocking pattern?

I just have some really nice yarn I just want to knit up - no color pattern, just the beauty of the yarn... in a simple stocking. I did a google search for free patterns and there are a lot but I'm not finding what I'm looking for.

Do any of you have any any tried and true simple stocking patterns you can share?

Thanks very much!

Stocking as in sock, or as in Christmas stocking hung by the chimney with care?

I am on my third stocking using this pattern:

It's really easy, quick, and great for a striped yarn like noro. It's felted though, so I am not sure if that would be something you'd want to do with the yarn you have in mind.
