Birth Plan for a homebirth

My midwife would like me to give her a birth plan for our homebirth. Says she needs to see one so that she knows what our expectations are. It seems that most birth plan models are the internet are for hospital births. Can someone refer me to a good model birth plan for a homebirth?

I don’t have a model for you but I wrote a very vague one for my midwife. I thought it was important to keep things very open and flexible so I said things like “I would like to have the option of moving around and pushing in whatever position I desire”. I also made simple statements like “there are snacks in the fridge that you are welcome to” and “I am very scent sensitive so please do not wear any scents to my house”.

I let her know who was expected at the birth and if they were not invited than could she kindly ask them to leave and lock the door. (I had fears of the inlaws showing up).

That was pretty much it. Just my expectations of the midwife. The actual birth/labor part was VERY vague because I didn’t want to pin down an ideal birth on paper when anything can happen.

I did however make a hospital birth plan in case of transfer.

http://www.homebirth.org.uk/plan.htm Of course some things aren't going to apply.

I have things in mine like I most likely will be naked; please make sure the windows are covered, doors shut.

I like to announce the gender, please don't say anything till I have a chance to look myself.

I would like to catch the baby myself if I can.

Run interference with my mother who will be there to help with the kids. My mom is aggressive and loud so she tends to walk right in and start yapping away.

I hate pushing, I plan to breath the baby down. Please don't tell me I can push.

I have other stuff on there like I don't like to be touched and I like quiet. I plan on eating the placenta.

I also include a transfer birth plan with several copies jic.
