Knitting Magazine?

Hi,

Well it's the time of year that everyone keeps asking me what I want for Christmas, and I really don't have a lot of answers. I figured that if I could list a couple of magazine subscriptions that'd be a way for me to get new knitting patterns as well as get joy throughout the year (and less large clutter hopefully!). I've never bought a knitting magazine, though, most of my patterns I find online. Does anyone subscribe to a great knitting magazine that they would recommend?

No crochet, please. It terrifies me.

Thanks,
El

Interweave Knits is okay, though I think they have too many socks and weirdo vest/dress things. Most other magazines are very icky--lots of boxy sweaters, super bulky yarn projects, and novelty yarns. There's some good books with gorgeous things out there...I prefer books to magazines, if you're more interested in patterns than articles. Go to your local book store and take a look! Enjoy!

Living Crafts

This is not strictly a knitting magazine, however it has knitting patterns in it and it has a strictly natural toys, fiber etc. format. Very nice and one of my favorites. www.livingcrafts.com

yes to Living Crafts- I think you would love it! How about something like Knit One (more for the younger crowd).... I would adore whoever got me a subscription to IWK though......
