My mil died

The woman drove me nuts a lot of the time but she devoted herself to helping others and spending time with and loving and spoiling my kids. Her only 3 grandchildren.

I will miss her. I just finally felt like I was understand our relationship and settling in (11 yrs after marrying dh!) and now she's dead.

My kids can't go fishing with her anymore. They can't go spend a week w/ her in the summers anymore or days at a time on school vacations. Ds2 is only 13 mos old. He won't know her like ds1 and dd knew her.

It kind of sucks.

MY condolences to you, as well.

Knowing that there were so many more years ahead kills me.

She was 66 and had a heart attack. She went into a coma and 11 days later she died. It was congestive heart failure that triggered it, but those 11 days of coma SUCKED. We took her off life support Friday and she died Saturday, almost 24 hrs later.

My kids got to see her Friday night and the cried. Well, the older 2 did. The baby sat beside her on the bed and tried to pull off her oxygen. She would have laughed.

Sigh.

I've been going through her clothes and belongings and packing things up. It's not been fun. But I did find some nifty stuff from generations past. Treasures.

Not to mention random crap. (She was a hoarder.)
