jaz, that's great dh is taking over. i think it is always a good experience for dads to have to do that!

afm - this is a little embarrassing and probably tmi, so i apologize in advance. my clinic says to avoid sex and orgasm until you hear a heartbeat. well this morning i woke up to an ...ahem...very nice dream. afterwards i had some cramping, which i'm not sure if it was related to the dream or just my normal cramping. but i got really freaked out since that is one of the only things my clinic says not to do! and today is the day that my little embies would start to attach to the uterine lining. i hope i didn't ruin their chances!!

anyone else experience this? anyone experience this and still get a BFP??

LuckyIVF, best wishes at the RE. I read about a clinic in Japan that does a controlled IVF with fewer drugs, fewer follicles, and only transfers 1 embryo, but they use clomid which I wouldn't recommend. It's the Kato ladies clinic. http://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_r...fm?DR_ID=36182

Snowbell, hope the PIO shots get better. I have never had an orgasm in my sleep, that's amazing. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Strange about the symptoms. My RE is having me start the PIO shots the day of ER, then switch to suppositories (pills inserted vaginally) after the ET.
AFM, my ER will either be Thursday or Friday, according to the RE I saw yesterday. Think lots of healthy eggs!

Umm...yeah, it's happend to me. : The hormones after ET got pretty intense and it was extremely difficult to not jump my dh. I did have cramping thruout the 2ww and did get a bfp. Good luck!

Snowbell, A few thoughts. I've had that happen before and while it is usually a lovely phenomena, I can imagine it would be frustrating right now. I don't think you should worry too much about it though. Now I wasn't there of course, but for me, a dream orgasm is much more mellow than (forgive the frankness) one that penetrates and well, collides with the cervix . Also, lots of women say having these very sexy dreams was a preg. symptom and lasted 1st tri or whole preg. so hopefully it is just a sign of something good.

Lucky, I will talk with Dr. S about the acupuncture on Thursday during my supression check. Lots of people on the MDC boards seem very positive about it, and I am the kind of person that will try anything I hope we do end up on the same days, (I'll be the one asking everyone if they are "lucky" ) My goal is ER on Sat 14th with a 5 day blast transfer, it would give me the least days off work and I really want to get some 5 day blasts!

Snowbell, I told DH about the no sex or orgasm thing and he didn't believe me since most people who conceive "at home" don't even think about that kind of stuff. I am sure you are fine! (and have to agree with Poet)

AFM - Lupron has been a breeze (except I think it is giving me serious acne - very uncommon for me). I am super excited for my supression check and also to start the stims on Sunday. It is like every small step gets me a little closer to my BFP! I am super paranoid... some times I feel like if I am too positive it will jinx me and if I am negative it will jinx me.

Snowbell - I'm sure you'll be fine! I have to say that I didnt even know that women had such a thing! Lucky you.

Belly Bean - I have pretty bad Lupron acne now, too. Yuck! At least my side effects of headache and tiredness are gone. If all goes well tomorrow, I stop BCPs and continue Lupron. Stims to start on 2/2 so it looks like you may get your follies before I do. Either way, it will be fun to compare notes!

Poet - how are you doing?

AFM - At the end of my IVF consult Friday my doc came back and said they were going to hold off making me a new IVF schedule and Rx because I am pregnant. Beta was 338. I was shocked! I started crying and didn't hear another word she said. I wanted to wait til I had my second beta to post anything here, and that came back today at 929. I have yet a third beta on Wed. and if that's okay, then an U/S in another week or so. So we're "cautiously optimistic" in the meantime, but also excited and so happy and hopeful! Still on prometrium, and taking HPT's every day because I finally get to see 2 lines (and just to be sure)!!!
So, after 16 months TTC including 8 months of fertility TX, I got my BFP! :
I am grateful and thankful beyond words to know DH & I can conceive and implant. I am hopeful we can deliver a healthy baby in 9 months!
I wish you all healthy BFP's, and appreciate all your good wishes for a BFP of my own. Thanks for all the support throughout this cycle. I'll be lurking and will be keeping you posted, but I hope I can graduate soon!

Out of everyone here, you are the woman who seems most 'like' me in the nature of fert. issues. Seeing you get preg. from a ivf turned iui is amazing.

Congrats Joyakshi! What amazing news!!

I too hope to be graduating soon but I wanted to say how much I've appreciated this board. thanks for all your congrats. I know if can be hard to hear about other's BFP's when TTC, but I hope it is a sign of hope.
I thought when I got a BPF the worry would be over, but now I'm waiting with bated breath for each beta and then I'll have to wait for the U/S. Maybe that's the prep for motherhood - all the worries of a new baby and person to care for forever! Gotta learn to be zen about it all now I guess.
and keep taking HPT's every day in the meantime!

AFM - I got a super OMG scare this morning! My right ovary was fine with a few tiny resting follies, my left had ONE HUGE SAC! Oh NO! : I was so worried my suppression failed and that I'd have to sit out this IVF cycle! I got bw and after stressing all day the RE finally called and said it was not ovulation, just an old cyst! WHEW! I still get to start stims on 2/2! Tomorrow is my last BCP! YEAH!
