Temporary move to Houston!

Greetings all,

We are about to spend 6 months in Houston (Webster area) and I was hoping for some tips from those who know the area. I have a 3 almost 4 year old, and a barely 1 year old. I am hoping for recommendations on fun things to do, great parks, pediatricians, any other useful tidbits that pop to mind.

we love going to the butterfly garden at the museum of natural science, moody gardens are great (though I don't know what they are like since the hurricane). it's been 5 yrs since we were there but I still dream of the food at Lupe Tortilla's - it is the best tex-mex ever!! and they have a great play ground for the kids!
