PUL Fabric

Thread Starter
I am wondering where the best place (best price) is to buy PUL fabric. Also, is one kind better than another? I've been looking online a bit and there seem to be many different types, and I'm feeling a bit confused. I'd like to find one that is the same as or similar to the one used on BG diapers.

I bought mine from kidsinthegarden.com and she had great customer service, I was very happy with my purchase. I don't know about quality though I am making my first diapers this weekend. Maybe someone else can tell us both some more about that.

I've gotten stuff from kids in the garden and the quality is great - that's the same PUL as bg, at least same quality. YOu'll be happy with it, I think. They are nice people to work with.

I agree that Kids In The Garden is great. I've never once had a problem, and the customer service is wonderful. She also ships super fast and has a large selection to choose from. And the prices are low compared to other places I've looked.

What about 1 mil versus 2 mill. I know I've read about it somewhere. But I can't remember.

I'd like to make wet bags and a friend is making mama pads. What thickness should we use?

I was thinking of buying from Celtic Cloths. What's your experience?

Everyone I've asked about 1 mil vs 2 mil just says it's mostly about personal preference. I've heard they both work equally well. I believe that 2 mil is stiffer than 1 mil, but I'm not totally sure. I have only used 2 mil once (actually on the very last diaper I made last week!) and it sewed ok. I haven't really noticed much difference.

I like 1 mil best because it feels softer. 2 mil would probably be better for making a wet bag, though. If you don't know what kind you want, Neptune Fabrics used to have a 99-cents sample set with all the different kinds in it. If they still have that, it might be a good way to see the differences.

I get mine from Wahm Supply. $6.95 per yard...uh huh!
