I just bought this 30 minutes ago. It came out today. I haven't started it yet but it's VERY short. Just wanted to see if anyone else has read it yet. Any thoughts?

I got two today--- one for DD for Christmas and one for a family friend who just turned 10.

Not only short, but very few words per page. Totally looking forward to it though.

I just bought it last night for my ds's birthday next week. I cannot wait to read it!

Didn't get it, unfortunately. Am a little heartbroken. It's outrageously expensive here ... 75 NIS (shekel) for the English version and 88 NIS for the Hebrew edition. At 4 NIS per $1 (very rough exchange rate approximation) that's way too much.

Not that size of the thing matters, but if it were a full-sized novel-length book, I'd kind of feel more justifiable in spending over half a day's pay for it, you know?

Oy. That hurts. Amazon (US) lists it as $7.14, equals 111 NIS.

I bought it, but at the same time as the entire Twilight series so I haven't gotten to read much of Beedle yet. I did read one of the stories, and Dumbledore's commentary on it, and I got the overall impression that I'll enjoy this book much more if I read one story at a time, rather than devouring the whole thing in one sitting.

Merpk- next time you're in NY I can lend you my copy. Seriously, could you read a copy via a public library?

Oh, I was looking forward to this but didn't even know that it already came out! I'll have to make a trip to the bookstore.
