I know everyone has their own little way of lanolizing soakers and longies ... what's your method?

First, I fill up the basin with warm/tepid water and soak the woolie item for about 15 minutes to "rinse". Drain the water. Fill up the basin with warm/tepid water again and add soap; I prefer bar soap but also use liquid. Take a small jar full of hot water and add a pea sized amount of lanolin and shake, shake, shake, then add it to the basin. Immerse the woolie item again and soak for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. It depends on if the soap is causing the dye to run and sometimes time gets away from me Drain water. Lay woolie in between towels, roll it up and step on it, then lay flat to dry.

Let me preface this by saying that my longies are knit out of very very sturdy wool- so they can take this abuse.....

I wash in the bathtub with warm water and Eucalan wool wash. then I rinse out all the crusty crap and dirt that my kids have managed to get on them- this takes forever because my kids love dirt. (mine never smell- they just get dirty.....)

Then I take an old peri bottle and fill it with hot water and a pea size of lansinoh lanolin and shake. Then I squirt it on the freshly degunked longies in the areas that are necessary for that child. I let them sit in my empty bathtub for awhile (like while I take care of whatever disaster is happening at that moment). I come back and wring them out (yeah- I know your aren't supposed to do that- but honestly mine can take the abuse- lambs pride and pf are incredibly tough). then I reshape and let them dry.
